Bishop Auckland West
The gateway to history. Just minutes from Auckland Palace and the heart of The Auckland Project this is where past and present connect.
Bishop Auckland West is the terminus station at the eastern end of the Weardale Railway line. There is limited parking at the adjacent main Network Rail station. Other car parks are available in the town centre. There are no facilities at this station. Facilities are available at the Network Rail station.
Witton-le-Wear
A peaceful village station perfect for walkers and nature lovers. Step off and explore the Weardale Way and Local woodlands.
No ticket office or facilities. The platform is accessed from the roadside drop off area, but no parking at the station itself. Roadside parking is usually available in the nearby village. Please pay on the train.
Wolsingham
A historic town with a proud industrial past, Wolsingham offers quaint streets, family-friendly pubs, and a taste of rural Durham life.
Platform and car park open when trains are running with disabled car parking spaces available. There are no toilet facilities at this station. No overnight parking. Please pay on the train.
Kingfisher
This is a request stop for residents of the nearby caravan parks and for walkers on the Weardale Way. The road approach is private and there is no parking nearby.
Frosterley
Nestled in limestone country, Frosterley is known for its stone, scenery and stories – a quiet stop full of natural beauty.
The rebuilt platform and the small car park are always open (but there is no overnight parking). Disabled car parking spaces available. There is no station office or other facilities.
Stanhope
Our main hub and a charming market town in the heart of the North Pennines. Enjoy riverside walks, local cafés, and a classic countryside welcome.
This is the principal station on the Weardale Railway. The station and free car park open half an hour before the first train. Disabled car parking spaces available. The gift shop and café open on operating days. Toilets including disabled and baby change facilities are available. No overnight parking.
